Bacon-wrapped, stuffed pork chops.

For my first blog post, I found it more than fitting to talk about my favorite topic: food.

I was browsing through my Facebook feed and ran into 'Garlic Herb Stuffed Pork Chops' on Buzzfeed. They looked insanely delicious so, naturally, add bacon and you have perfection. It was time to head to the store. Surprisingly enough, the ingredients for the recipe were not too expensive. I'd ballpark about $15 to serve four.

Ingredients

8 ounces low-fat cream cheese, softened 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 glove minced, roasted garlic ¼ cup mined green onion

1 yellow onion, minced and sauteed. 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded 8 strips raw bacon

3 strips cooked bacon, crumbled 4 boneless pork chops Salt Pepper 1 cups flour 2 eggs, beaten 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs 4 tablespoons canola oil

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix up the cream cheese, pepper, garlic, onions, provolone and cooked bacon, Set aside.

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper (I added a dash of Cayenne, as well). Carefully cut a pocket through the side of the pork chop in order to create a cavity. Stuff the cavity with a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and press around the edges of the pork to seal it in (I added in a toothpick to keep it sealed tight).

Dip the stuffed pork chops in the flour, then the egg mixture and finally the breadcrumbs.

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the pork chops for about one to two minutes, then flip. Remove from heat and wrap each with two strips of raw bacon.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, the last 3-4 on broil to crisp up that bacon!

I served this with a bed of fresh, mixed vegetables. It's absolutely delicious and will definitely be one of my go-to recipes! Enjoy!
