SYDNEY RYAN

Sydney Ryan is an experienced multimedia journalist. She is also capable of producing, editing, and anchoring newscasts. Sydney has a passion for social media and currently has a 400% growth rate on Facebook.

 

Sydney is currently an anchor and reporter at WCSC Live5News in Charleston, South Carolina. She joined the team in August 2016.

Previously, Sydney worked as an anchor and reporter at FOX 34 News in Lubbock, Texas from 2014-2016, KODE/KSN News in Joplin, Missouri, and for Cronkite Newswatch at the Washington D.C. bureau. She has been interning in the news industry since 2008.

 

Being involved in the community has always been a top priority for Sydney. She currently volunteers with Florence Crittenton, Gavalos Kolanko Foundation, Community Options Inc., Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, Homes for Heroes, Haven Animal Shelter, and Ellevate.

 

Sydney received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. She has held various news internships and was involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega (Zeta Pi chapter).
